The
Prince George's Arts Council (PGAC) provides grant funding to county
artists and organizations such as schools, libraries, theatre and music
groups, galleries, dance and performance troupes, colleges and civic
groups. PGAC has helped support performances, workshops and exhibitions
reaching county residents totaling over 360,000 including students
audiences over 160,000. PGAC has enjoyed a long and rich history
of collaboration in the field of arts education with the Prince George's
County public schools. The school system and PGAC has jointly
sponsored collaborative arts projects including artist-in-residency
programs. The Prince George's Arts Council is a major funder of the arts
for Prince George's County, Maryland. Each year it provides grants
to arts organizations, along with grants for individual artists, or
groups of artists.
Grants are
always made with the objective of promoting artistic excellence and
innovation. |
